So What is This About?

Whether you have heard about Swirl Flaps or not, we have one bit of advice - ask us to take them away!

Swirl flaps are fitted to BMW diesel engine in the air intake manifold and are designed to optimise ‘clean’ running. We have discovered that the swirl flaps are prone to failure which can cause major engine damage. The engine will run perfectly normally with no loss of power or economy and no effect on exhaust emissions.

Engines affcted:

BMW 118d, 120d, 320d, 520d, X3 2.0d with M47, M47TU

BMW 325d, 330d, 525d, 530d, 730d, X3 3.0d, X5 3.0d with M57, M57TU
